At the Antique Market, Lu Wan District

Opening Ceremony just concluded their two week whirlwind tour of the Middle Kingdom, which started in Hong Kong and Beijing to launch their one-month collaboration with Lane Crawford, and concluded with a two day “break” in Shanghai.

So to give them a taste of the local scene and to find some vintage Chinese garments, I took them to the Dongtai Lu Antique Market. Even though there was no organized event to bring about Shanghai’s most stylish, the OC crew seemed to somehow attract some of the best dressed people I’ve seen in China to date. For example, this lady was looking quite spectacular, especially from the leggings down (love the hair as well):

This lady looked quite glamorous as she searched through a sea of vintage trinkets… I love how graphic the dress is, which is not something that you see a lot of in China (but probably will soon thanks to OC x Lane Crawford).

Throughout the entire day I was touring around with them, stylish Chinese people seemed to pop out of nowhere, but I’m definitely not complaining. It seems OC’s presence alone has already contributed to the local fashion scene, but I’m sure it will be even better once we finally get one of their stores in Shanghai.

Check out some pieces from the menswear collection here, and if you can make it to Beijing or HK, definitely go see it in person!
