Harry Potter Opening, Xin Tian Di

I saw the first viewing of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows Part II in China at midnight on opening day, and I was not at all disappointed… Well, I was a bit sad to see that the theater was half empty and no one really dressed up, but the movie was epic. I wore a cape from Uma Wang of course to commemorate the occasion, and I was stoked to see at least one other person was in the Harry Potter spirit… the ticket lady!

I love round glasses not only because they are so Harry Potter, but also so Chinese! This Chinese gentlemen was sporting his specs way back in 1925, before Harry Potter was even an idea. Round glasses like these were popular amongst different groups in society throughout Chinese Fashion History, and they are still pretty hip today.
