Bund Beauties, The Bund
The Bund has to be Shanghai’s most photographed locale… There’s the impressive colonial architecture, the hyper-modern Pu-Jersey backdrop, and the pig-filled Huang Pu (but don’t worry, most of the pigs have been waterlogged so you can’t see them anymore). With a boardwalk and bridges, this district has thus become the photographer’s wet dream (save for the occasional eau de hog). On any given day you can find droves of not only photographers but also their “model” couples in sparkles, sequins, ruffles, frills, and of course rhinestones… and I mean both the bride and groom. A dream wedding in Shanghai wouldn’t be complete without the Bund, and the Bund wouldn’t be complete without its many beauties.
