When Red is Green, Xintiandi
I love ethnic minorities and their garb, so when I discovered this woman who seems to be new in my hood, I was excited to see what treasures her wardrobe may have in store for me in the future.
I saw her again on the second day of the new year with this dapper looking fellow, but she was still in the same exact outfit which I thought was interesting.
I was told recently that a lot of ethnic minorities actually don’t consider clothing to be disposable, and so they will have well-made, meaningful clothes that can last a lifetime… because of this, you may see a lot of Chinese minorities wearing the same thing day in and day out.
I don’t know if this is possible for Western societies, but I think we can learn from this approach to clothing… we can save money and save the earth at the same time by consuming less but better.
